How To Lose Abdominal Fat

Getting rid of belly fat can be easy if you know what to do.  A very sad fact is that most of us have no idea how to get rid of our belly fat.

We spend a ton of money on the hottest and newest exercise videos and DVD’s that feature exercise gurus that have zero body fat and their abdominal muscles are totally ripped and shredded and still we are fat.

Most of us are doing abdominal exercises such as situps, abdominal crunches and even reverse crunches and situps but we still have a big fat bellies. Sadly doing the hundreds of situps a day and working out on the latest and greatest abdominal exercise machine that we find in our gym is not going to get rid of our abdominal fat.

Everyone is spending a small fortune on gym memberships, personal trainers, exercise DVD’s and videos but no one is losing weight especially around your stomach. And many women are actually getting thicker and fatter because they are exercising the wrong way.

If you really want to lose abdominal fat the first step is to clean up your diet. Eating hoagies, nachos and drinking soda and coffees with extra cream and extra sugar is not the way to get a flat belly. Your diet should consist of lean meats, chicken and fish and plenty of vegetables and about three pieces of fruit a day.

You should eat your first meal within the first 60 minutes of waking up and then you should have lunch approximately 3 to 4 hours later and then dinner 3 to 4 hours after lunch. Each should consist of approximately 2 ounces either lean meat chicken or fish and 2 cups of vegetables. You should have two snacks a day and this is where you should eat your fruit. You should also try to stop eating approximately 3 hours before you go to bed. Do not drink store-bought fruit juices because they are mostly sugar. But I do recommend drinking freshly squeezed home made juices.

The next step is to begin an exercise program with a focus on cardiovascular exercise. Your goal is 60 consecutive minutes of any type of cardiovascular activity. Any type of cardiovascular exercise will do. Even if you ride a stationary bike in front of your television show every night 60 minutes you are doing a great fat burning exercise. Of course walking, swimming, jogging and aerobics classes are great cardiovascular exercises that are awesome for burning fat. If you can do this 5 to 7 days a week you will be amazed how to fat just melts away.

After you have followed the program noted above for approximately 8 weeks then you might want to begin resistance training no more than two days a week.

It is possible for women to participate in resistance training and lift weights but they must do the proper program otherwise they will get thick and bulky like a man.

Many people are choosing a healthier vegetarian weight loss program and this is highly recommended but please make sure you are following the proper vegetarian weight loss protocol and programs so that you do not miss out on certain vitamins, proteins and enzymes that are necessary to be totally healthy.

So there you have it a total weight loss program for getting rid of the body fat and also losing your abdominal belly fat.
